Single Girder Overhead Crane

The Single Girder Overhead Crane is a kind of light bridge crane, which is widely used in light load operations. The crane generally uses a single beam due to its lighter lifting capacity. The lifting mechanism can adopt wire rope electric hoist or chain hoist as required. The lifting mechanism has lifting overload protection and lifting limit protection. When the hoist moves up and down to the limit position, the limit protection will automatically cut off the lifting power supply to ensure safe operation.

The most common configuration for a Single Girder Overhead Crane is the top running single girder, where the bridge end trucks travel along the top of a runway system. Other configurations include a double girder version and also an under running version. 

One main difference between the single girder and double girder models is the price. The cost to produce a single girder crane is lower than that of a double due to the fact that the single uses less material and takes less time to fabricate.
